This is a very good reproduction of the original Brititsh army belt supplied with the 1958 issue of kit. Generally known as the 58 belt, it is a very strong belt by virtue of the 100% cotton webbing. It is also long lasting as there is little to go wrong as the clasp is made from sturdy metal with sewn in loops for the attachment of pouches. There are two metal rings on the lower edge which were used to attach an issue poncho. This belt is still very popular today by virtue of its price, strength, simplicity and will still be fine with all British army trousers. Very popular with cadets.
